Louise Lemieux White is a fluently bilingual Registered Nurse (BScN), Lactation Consultant and adult educator, with over 25 years health care experience working with children, adults and families in teaching hospitals and in her own private practice. Her non-profit involvement includes two terms as parent association President at a leading private secondary school in Toronto, membership in the Interguild inter-private school association and other roles on boards and in charitable organizations. Louise is the proud mother of four young adults.
Recently her focus has been helping one of her children address a concurrent mental illness and substance use disorder. With her own child stabilized and in recovery, Louise became a co-founder of FAR and is focused on improving the chances for similarly affected youth and families through working with agencies involved in the treatment of substance use disorder, fund raising and providing guidance to other families undergoing similar challenges.
