Dr. Barbara Watts
Barbara has been a doctor for 38 years. She graduated from the University of Toronto, class of ’82, and practiced family medicine for 25 years, along with obstetrics and emergency shifts. In 2009 she retired from her family practice in Caledon, moved to Melancthon and now practices hospitalist medicine at Headwaters Healthcare Centre in Orangeville and emergency medicine part-time at the community hospital in Markdale.
Her involvement with Families for Addiction Recovery (FAR) came about as a result of a long friendship with Angie Hamilton and her personal journey with her first husband, father of her four children, who died in 1995 from complications of alcoholism.
