Imagine a time when all Canadians with addiction are treated the same as people with a physical illness.
Help Us Help Others
Families for Addiction Recovery (FAR) is a national charity founded by parents of children who have struggled with addiction from their teens. FAR is a volunteer run organization and we are changing how people think and talk about addiction.
- We offer free peer support for families across Canada with loved one’s who struggle with addiction.
- We are a voice for families to influence government policy.
- We educate health care providers, law enforcement and community groups about stigma and the need for compassionate, evidence-based treatment on demand, protective drug policies and protective health laws.
