The Canadian Centre for Substance Use and Addiction has a phone line for each province and territory in Canada and for First Nations and Inuit where you can find publicly funded treatment services available in your area. These phone lines do not offer information on facilities that are only privately funded.

Connex Ontario is a free and confidential service offering support/navigation through phone, chat, text, and email for people in Ontario.

Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinics are walk-in clinics that provide treatment and support for substance use without an appointment or formal referral. 211 Ontario connects people to social services and community programs by phone, text or chat across Ontario.

The Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre provides expert navigation of the mental health and addictions service system for youth aged 11-29 and their families, who are living in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

The Youth Addiction and Concurrent Disorders Service at CAMH provides outpatient treatment for young people (13-24 years) with substance use concerns, with or without concurrent mental health concerns.

CAMH-Youth VAST program  is for youth (ages 12 to 21) across Ontario who are facing challenges related to vaping/nicotine use, alcohol use, substance use, and/or technology use. 

Health811 is available 24/7, by phone or online, and in multiple languages. Health811 connects people to registered nurses who can provide guidance and refer to local mental health and addictions resources. 

Eastern Ontario

1Call1Click provides navigation for mental health and addiction supports for those under 21 years of age and their families.

Access MHA provides navigation for mental health and addiction supports for those 16 years of age or older.

Parents’ Lifelines of Eastern Ontario (PLEO) provides navigation and support for parents and caregivers in Eastern Ontario with children up to age 25 who are facing mental health and/or addiction challenges.

Manitoba

British Columbia

Access Central is a phone line that provides a single point of entry to connect people to certified health providers, and comprehensive, people-centred care.

Access Central services are available seven days a week at:

  • Fraser Health: 1-833-866-6478 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Interior Health: 1-866-777-1103 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Island Health: 1-888-885-8824 from 9 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.
  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 1-(866)-658-1221 from 9 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Clients needing addiction treatment are connected with a nurse or trained clinician for assessment within 24 hours.
